Asahiyama Zoo
Asahiyama Zoo is Japan's most popular zoo. Situated a few hours from Sapporo, you can visit the zoo on a
special train put on by JR - complete with furry animal seats and children's playroom. The zoo's main aim is
to get people as close as possible to the animals so you often find yourself face to face with some pretty big
beasties.
